Job Overview

We are looking for a qualified Safety Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to join our team urgently. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying workplace hazards, preventing accidents, and ensuring strict adherence to safety standards across construction sites, factories, oil and gas facilities, and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Engineer will be responsible for conducting thorough safety inspections, preparing detailed risk assessments (including JSA/JHA), and investigating incidents and near misses to improve safety protocols. You will manage Permit to Work (PTW) systems, lead emergency response planning, and carry out safety audits and compliance checks to align with ISO 45001 standards. Regularly conducting safety training sessions and toolbox talks, monitoring PPE usage, and preparing comprehensive safety documentation will be part of your day-to-day duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Occupational Health & Safety.
• Certifications such as NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), OSHA 30-Hour or OSHA 510/511, IOSH Managing Safely, along with First Aid, CPR, and Fire Safety Training.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Safety Engineer, preferably within construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, or related industrial sectors.
• Proficient in risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation.
• Strong knowledge of safety management systems and ability to apply ISO 45001 standards.
• Effective communication and reporting skills, with demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Competent in training delivery and familiar with local and international safety regulations.

Additional Requirements

• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is highly preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English.
