Job Overview

We are urgently looking for a skilled Project Engineer specializing in Food Service Equipment (FSE) and Maintenance to join a dynamic team in Bahrain. This role involves managing comprehensive project execution for commercial kitchen equipment installations, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery throughout all phases.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will take charge of overseeing projects from initial design to final handover, including:

• Leading and directing all stages of food service equipment installation projects.
• Developing technical drawings, layouts, and detailed equipment Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Collaborating with consultants, architects, and clients to confirm design and technical specifications.
• Coordinating with suppliers and contractors to guarantee prompt delivery and efficient installation.
• Monitoring project schedules, budgets, and allocated resources to maintain progress and cost control.
• Upholding compliance with local health, fire, and safety regulations throughout project execution.
• Conducting regular site inspections, managing snag lists, and preparing thorough handover documentation.
• Providing technical assistance during tendering and procurement stages.
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team members to enhance performance and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• At least 8 years of extensive experience working with commercial kitchen equipment projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD for preparing technical designs.
• Proven track record in handling end-to-end project execution, covering design, BOQ preparation, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Strong project management capabilities combined with effective site supervision skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate among multiple stakeholders.
• Previous work experience within GCC countries is essential.
• Familiarity with internationally recognized kitchen equipment brands like Hobart, Rational, and Electrolux.
• Possession of PMP certification or a similar project management qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience in hospitality, food and beverage chains, hospitals, or central kitchen projects adds value.
