Job Overview

A prominent construction company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Quantity Surveyor with strong expertise in MEP works. This role demands a seasoned professional capable of managing commercial aspects of electromechanical projects by delivering accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and contract administration to support large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) and comprehensive cost estimates tailored to electromechanical tasks. You will thoroughly review tender documents, contract drawings, and specifications to ensure all aspects meet project requirements. Evaluating subcontractor quotations and compiling comparison reports will be critical for informed decision-making. Additionally, ongoing monitoring of project costs, variations, and payment certifications forms an essential part of this position. Coordination across project managers, consultants, and on-site teams will ensure smooth commercial operations and compliance throughout project life cycles.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• At least 10 years of proven experience specializing in electromechanical or MEP quantity surveying.
• Comprehensive understanding of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and tendering processes.
• Familiarity with procurement strategies and management of contract variations and claims.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction standards, and FIDIC contracts.
• Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software tools.
