Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Supervisor with ARAMCO approval and a minimum of 7 years of experience in oil and gas field projects. The ideal candidate will oversee daily electrical construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with ARAMCO standards and project specifications. Candidates based in Jubail, Dammam, or Al-Khobar are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will supervise and coordinate all electrical construction tasks such as cable laying, terminations, tray installations, lighting, grounding, and substation work. Ensuring all activities follow ARAMCO standards (SAES, SAEP) and IFC documentation is critical. You will efficiently allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project timelines.
You will review electrical drawings, schematics, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) while monitoring the installation of medium and low voltage systems, transformers, switchgear, motors, control panels, and earthing and lightning protection systems. Identifying and resolving technical issues throughout construction will also be a key part of your role.
Quality assurance is essential; you will ensure QA/QC compliance and work closely with ARAMCO inspectors, supporting activities such as RFIs, SAT/FAT, and punch list clearance, along with maintaining thorough documentation and as-built drawings.
Maintaining strict safety and compliance by enforcing ARAMCO HSE standards and the Permit to Work (PTW) system is required. Conducting toolbox talks, risk assessments, and daily safety briefings will contribute to a zero-incident safety culture. You will also coordinate with other disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation, and Commissioning teams, while preparing daily progress and weekly schedule reports.
Additionally, providing oversight during pre-commissioning, commissioning, functional testing, energization, and startup ensures smooth project completion with proper documentation of test records.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and possess between 7 and 12 years of experience in oil and gas construction projects, with at least 3 to 5 years in a supervisory role on ARAMCO or similar projects.
Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAMSS, SAEP) and IEC/NEC codes is necessary, along with strong knowledge of oil and gas electrical systems and hazardous area classifications. The ability to read IFC drawings, single-line diagrams, and layouts is fundamental.
Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, especially within a multicultural workforce. Candidates should demonstrate effective problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities, as well as good communication skills in English; Arabic language skills will be an advantage.
Experience with project management software and reporting tools is highly beneficial.
Preferred Certifications
- Saudi Aramco Approved Supervisor certification (if available)
- OSHA, NEBOSH, or IOSH safety certifications
- First Aid and Safety Training
- Work Permit Receiver certification under ARAMCO PTW system
Work Environment
This is a site-based position located in remote gas field environments, where candidates must be prepared to work under challenging weather conditions such as extreme heat and dust. Full compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) and strict safety protocols is mandatory. The role may require extended hours and rotating shifts.
Performance Expectations
- Maintain zero lost-time injury (LTI) incidents while complying with ARAMCO safety regulations
- Complete electrical scope within the agreed schedule
- Ensure quality standards are met, minimizing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Optimize manpower and resource use for project efficiency
- Achieve successful approvals from inspections and commissioning milestones
How to Apply
Interested candidates with the required qualifications and experience can apply by submitting their updated resume for consideration.
