Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join a long-term project based in Jafura, Jubail. This role requires immediate availability for an interview scheduled on June 3, 2026. The successful candidate will play a vital role in engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning activities aligned with Saudi Aramco standards.

Key Responsibilities

The electrical engineer will be responsible for a comprehensive range of tasks, including:

  • Reviewing and interpreting electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and standards such as SAES, SEC, IEC, and NEC.
  • Ensuring all engineering deliverables comply with Saudi Aramco codes including SAES-P-100 and SAES-B-014.
  • Performing load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit studies.
  • Evaluating vendor documentation for equipment like switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS units, and control panels.
  • Participating actively in HAZOP, SIL, and design review meetings to support project integrity.
  • Overseeing installation of power distribution systems (LV and MV), transformers, switchgear, MCC panels, cable trays, conduits, grounding, and lighting systems in hazardous and non-hazardous areas, while ensuring full compliance with Aramco General Instructions and project specifications.
  • Collaborating closely with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams during installation phases.
  • Leading pre-commissioning, commissioning, insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, and high voltage energization activities.
  • Validating electrical system performance against design criteria and preparing detailed test reports and final handover documents.
  • Enforcing quality assurance and control protocols according to Aramco QA/QC standards, completing inspections, and managing quality documentation such as ITPs and checklists.
  • Adhering strictly to Health, Safety, and Environment policies, including electrical safety, permit-to-work (PTW), and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Coordinating with Saudi Aramco representatives, consultants, and contractors, attending regular progress meetings, and providing comprehensive progress reports.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field and possess 5 to 10 years of experience focused on oil and gas, petrochemical, or energy sector projects. Proven expertise working with Saudi Aramco projects, particularly within gas processing plants, refineries, or energy infrastructure, is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of medium and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Experience with hazardous area classifications such as IECEx and ATEX.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis tools like ETAP.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES, SAMSS, GI) as well as international codes including IEC, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA.
  • Ability to review and interpret single line diagrams, cable schedules, layouts, and earthing/lightning protection systems.

Soft Skills and Certifications

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with capability to thrive under project-driven pressure.
  • Good report writing and technical documentation proficiency.
  • Preferred certifications include Saudi Aramco Approval (SAP No.), PMP, OSHA/NEBOSH safety credentials, and SEC certification when applicable.

Work Environment

This is a site-based position within an industrial setting that may involve extended hours and shift work. The role demands strict compliance with all site safety regulations and Aramco’s rigorous standards.
