Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Corrosion and Materials Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on protecting industrial assets by assessing corrosion risks and enhancing material selection. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the integrity and longevity of equipment and infrastructure through evaluated material properties, environmental factors, and operational conditions.

Key Responsibilities

The engineer will conduct thorough corrosion assessments to identify potential damage mechanisms and devise effective prevention and mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include selecting corrosion-resistant materials and coatings that fit different project requirements, managing material testing, performing failure analyses, and overseeing corrosion monitoring programs. Ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory compliance will also be essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in corrosion prevention, control, and failure analysis.
• Strong familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and mitigation strategies, especially those related to Degradation Mechanisms (DM).
• Certification such as NACE Corrosion Specialist or an equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
