Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Corrosion and Materials Engineer with 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience to join a leading industrial team in Saudi Arabia. This role involves critical responsibilities to protect industrial assets by managing corrosion risks and ensuring the optimal selection of materials across various operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive corrosion assessments to identify and analyze corrosion mechanisms affecting equipment and infrastructure. You will develop and implement effective strategies to prevent or limit corrosion damage, overseeing material testing, failure analysis, and corrosion monitoring programs. Assessing material properties in relation to environmental conditions and operational demands is essential in recommending suitable corrosion-resistant materials and protective coatings. Additionally, you will ensure strict compliance with relevant industrial codes, standards, and regulations to maintain asset integrity.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Strong background in material selection and corrosion prevention/control methods
• Expertise in analyzing damage mechanisms and applying mitigation strategies
• Proficient in failure analysis and corrosion monitoring techniques
• In-depth knowledge of international codes and industry standards governing corrosion and materials engineering
• Preferred certification as a NACE Corrosion Specialist or equivalent

Educational Requirements

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in NACE corrosion specialty greatly enhances your suitability for this role. Familiarity with the latest corrosion control technologies and materials testing protocols will be considered an advantage.
