Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will oversee and execute commissioning activities in compliance with project guidelines and deadlines, ensuring that systems operate efficiently and safely. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities

The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for supervising the entire commissioning process, resolving control and process issues on-site, and generating detailed testing and commissioning procedures tailored to project requirements. Acting as a liaison during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for automation and control systems (DCS) at vendor locations is also essential. The engineer will address clients’ technical inquiries, negotiate commissioning goals, and ensure company standards are consistently met.

Additional duties include collaborating with engineering teams to develop key documentation such as Control Philosophy narratives, Logic Diagrams, SAT test procedures, and operational manuals—both new and updated versions. The role also involves managing project records and reports, coordinating between different teams, and leading commissioning staff by recruiting, training, and motivating them to achieve project objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in commissioning engineering, particularly with automation and control systems (DCS)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve site process issues efficiently
  • Ability to develop comprehensive commissioning documentation and testing procedures
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and negotiation
  • Experience in managing and mentoring project teams successfully
  • Capability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure project milestones are met
  • Must hold a transferable iqama

Preference will be given to candidates of Indian nationality.

Work Environment

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involving both office-based planning and on-site commissioning activities. The role requires close collaboration with engineering departments, clients, vendors, and project staff to deliver seamless commissioning services while adhering to strict project timelines.
