Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer with solid expertise in generator systems to lead a dedicated technical team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role combines supervisory duties with hands-on technical management, focusing on overseeing the operation and maintenance of diesel and gas-powered generators. The successful candidate will manage a group of four technicians and ensure smooth, efficient, and safe generator-related activities.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will lead a team of electrical and mechanical technicians, steering all generator maintenance and operational tasks. Responsibilities include planning preventive maintenance schedules, diagnosing technical problems, and delegating repair work effectively. Continuous monitoring of generator performance, including load capacity and fuel consumption, is essential to maintain optimal system health. Additionally, the role involves directing quick emergency responses during power outages and coordinating with management on project updates, shutdowns, and load tests. Maintaining clear service records and technical reports while ensuring compliance with all electrical safety standards is also required. Providing training to technicians to enhance their skills will be a vital part of the engineer’s duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with diesel and gas generator systems, preferably with some supervisory or team leadership exposure
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
• In-depth understanding of generator operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a mixed team of technical staff
• Familiarity with leading generator brands such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, or FG Wilson is highly desirable
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, technical manuals, and interpreting maintenance documentation
• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
