Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and operational management of electrical systems in major infrastructure projects based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of expertise in power systems engineering combined with strong leadership skills to oversee technical delivery and ensure smooth execution on site. Immediate joiners with a valid Iqama and complete documentation are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves comprehensive oversight of electrical engineering functions, including the review and approval of detailed electrical drawings, load calculations, and system analyses. You will supervise the installation of critical components such as power distribution networks, substations, transformers, switchgear, and lighting systems. Managing testing, commissioning, and energization is a core part of ensuring systems operate correctly and safely.

Collaborating closely with mechanical, civil, and other project teams, you will coordinate activities to maintain project timelines and quality standards. Monitoring site progress, troubleshooting technical issues, and optimizing system performance will also fall under your responsibilities. Post-installation support through operations and maintenance activities is essential, along with preparing technical reports and progress documentation.

Required Skills and Experience

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure or construction projects. Candidates should have an in-depth understanding of power distribution systems, substations, low and medium voltage equipment, and electrical safety standards. Familiarity with international codes such as IEC and IEEE is essential.

Experience in site execution, testing and commissioning, as well as operational support, will be expected, with prior work experience in the GCC region considered a strong advantage. Strong communication and leadership skills are critical to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams and project demands.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on large-scale or mega infrastructure developments will set candidates apart. Knowledge of SCADA, BMS, and automation systems is highly valued to support the technical and operational aspects of the projects.
