Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Welding Quality Control Inspector (QCI) to join our engineering team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will hold an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification, CSWIP 3.1 certification, or an equivalent qualification. This role requires extensive knowledge of welding codes and standards to ensure the quality and safety of welding projects in compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Welding QC Inspector will be responsible for overseeing welding operations to ensure adherence to required codes and standards. This includes reviewing welding procedures, inspecting welds, and monitoring nondestructive testing (NDT) processes to verify conformance with project specifications. The inspector will coordinate with project teams to identify and resolve quality issues, manage inspection documentation, and approve weld quality prior to final acceptance.

Required Skills and Certifications

• Certified as an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), CSWIP 3.1, or an approved equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes such as ANSI B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 620, 650, and AWS D1.1.
• Experience with Nondestructive Testing (NDT) techniques including Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
• Certified to at least ASNT Level II for relevant NDT methods.
• Certified in Radiographic Film Interpretation (RTFI) when applicable.

Additional Requirements

The candidate must have a proven track record of inspecting welding activities in compliance with international codes and standards. Familiarity with interpreting and verifying NDT results is essential. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this role.
