Job Overview

Averroës Academy in Riyadh is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction for FBISE, O Level, A Level, and IB students. This role involves teaching both online and on campus, offering an opportunity to engage students with a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice in computer science and ICT.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive lessons covering Computer Science, ICT, programming, and digital literacy across various curricula.
• Design and organize detailed lesson plans, coding exercises, presentations, and practical demonstrations that cater to different learning styles.
• Develop quizzes, tests, and assignments aligned with curriculum standards to regularly assess student progress.
• Provide academic support including extra sessions and focused exam preparation to help students excel.
• Maintain a disciplined, respectful, and safe classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Utilize digital tools such as coding platforms, simulations, and Learning Management Systems to enhance instruction.
• Collaborate actively with fellow educators to share best practices and improve the overall quality of teaching.
• Conduct practical programming labs, ICT sessions, software demonstrations, and implement project-based learning activities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Subject Specialists (O/A Level & IB):

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is essential.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in O/A Level or IB curricula related to Computer Science or ICT.
• Proficient command of English to teach advanced computer science topics effectively.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages, algorithms, databases, networking, and ICT concepts.
• Comfortable using digital teaching tools, coding platforms, and LMS systems.

FBISE / Junior Level Teachers:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT is required.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching the Federal Board curriculum.
• Good understanding of the Grade 9 to 12 Computer Science syllabus.
• Effective communication and classroom management abilities.

Additional Skills and Experience

• In-depth subject expertise in programming fundamentals, ICT, networking, databases, and cybersecurity principles.
• Excellent teaching skills to clarify technical concepts and engage learners with different proficiency levels.
• Experience creating assessments to track and enhance student learning outcomes.
• Strong digital literacy, including proficiency in presentations, online classes, coding tools, and educational software.
• Professional and clear communication tailored to student needs.
• Familiarity with FBISE, Cambridge O/A Level, and IB educational frameworks.
• Positive attitude, punctuality, and commitment to fostering a supportive academic environment.
