Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Manager to lead risk management efforts for a landmark mixed-use infrastructure development in Riyadh. This project aims to establish itself as a distinctive and self-sustaining community with iconic features, positioned to become a global destination. As part of the project management consultancy team, you will report directly to the Project Director and play a critical role in defining and overseeing the comprehensive risk management strategy.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for developing standardized risk management policies, procedures, and a program-wide risk management plan. You will collaborate closely with the program management team, consultants, and contractors to address all risk-related aspects effectively. Your duties include conducting and facilitating risk workshops, maintaining and analyzing the risk register, and driving the development and tracking of mitigation strategies. Providing regular detailed reports, including weekly and monthly updates, and delivering clear presentations will also be essential functions of the role.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field and bring a minimum of 15 years of overall relevant industry experience. At least 10 years should be in a dedicated risk management capacity within project environments, along with five years of regional experience in the Middle East. Professional certifications such as MIRM or its equivalent are mandatory. A deep understanding of risk management methodologies, along with knowledge across engineering and commercial domains of major civil infrastructure projects, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills to identify and recommend effective risk mitigation measures. Proficiency in MS Office and risk management software, excellent report-writing abilities, and fluency in English (both written and spoken) are required.
