Faithful+Gould is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring at least 15 years of relevant experience in commercial management within engineering and design consultancy projects. This role focuses on managing contractual and financial aspects of large-scale developments, ensuring smooth contract administration and proactive change management.

Key Responsibilities

The Commercial Manager will take charge of contract drafting, including defining scopes of work and services. They will oversee contract administration, managing both design consultants and contractors to align with project timelines and objectives. Developing and maintaining a robust change management system is critical, ensuring that all design and construction modifications are controlled effectively and consistently across ongoing projects.

This position requires the management and implementation of an internal Change Management Plan and governance processes to track changes, evaluate cost impacts, and alert stakeholders to any departures from contractual terms. The candidate will also lead procurement activities covering tendering, contract negotiation, and award processes for consultants and contractors.

Additional duties include supervising contract compliance, monitoring performance against service agreements, managing change requests, facilitating their review, and ensuring clear communication of contract variations to relevant parties. Contributing to risk management and participating in related review meetings is also a key part of this role.

Required Skills and Experience

• A degree qualification in Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related field.
• Extensive commercial management experience of 15 years or more.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
• Previous involvement in large-scale, mixed-use developments, preferably within Saudi Arabia or the broader Middle East region.
