Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled 3D Sheet Metal Designer to join our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will focus on designing metal enclosures, electrical cabinets, control panels, kiosks, and other fabricated sheet metal products. You’ll be responsible for producing precise 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and detailed documentation, all while ensuring designs meet quality and fabrication standards.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include designing sheet metal enclosures, cabinets, control panels, racks, and assemblies using advanced 3D CAD software. You will create detailed models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and flat patterns. Additionally, you will develop manufacturing documentation such as bills of materials (BOMs), cut lists, and assembly instructions. It is essential to optimize your designs for manufacturing processes including laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, and powder coating. Applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance analysis, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles will be part of your daily tasks. You will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and procurement teams to ensure the manufacturability of products and convert customer specifications into production-ready designs. Supporting prototype development, testing phases, and continuous design improvements are also critical components of this position. Maintaining revision control and engineering documentation is required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience in sheet metal design, particularly for enclosures and cabinets.
• Proficiency in industry-leading 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, and Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Experience in creating sheet metal parts, assemblies, and flat pattern developments.
• Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and material selection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
• Familiarity with electrical enclosure standards will be considered an added advantage.
