Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Procurement Engineer with expertise in finishing materials and FF&E for a major hospitality development project valued at 8 billion SAR in Riyadh. This role focuses on ensuring the timely procurement of architectural finishes, façade systems, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment to meet design specifications, quality standards, and budget requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing procurement strategies aligned with the project schedule, especially for long-lead items such as façade components, marble, joinery, lighting fixtures, and FF&E. They will review architectural drawings and material schedules carefully to verify that procurement complies with brand standards and design intent. Coordination with design consultants, interior designers, engineers, and logistics teams is essential to ensure smooth delivery and installation.

Additional duties include preparing tender packages, issuing requests for quotations, and conducting thorough technical and commercial evaluations of suppliers. Managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and maintaining a strong approved supplier database are critical parts of the role. The engineer will monitor budgets, implement cost optimization without sacrificing quality, and carry out value engineering when needed.

Procurement process oversight involves issuing purchase orders, tracking order progress, managing submittals and sample approvals, and collaborating with QA/QC teams during site inspections. Addressing any delivery delays or supplier quality concerns promptly to avoid project setbacks is also required.

Required Skills and Experience

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering and have 7 to 12+ years of hands-on experience in architectural procurement within luxury hospitality projects. Expertise in high-end finishing materials, façade systems, and FF&E procurement is essential, particularly in hotel or upscale developments.

Strong technical knowledge of finishing materials and familiarity with reading architectural drawings and details are required. The ability to work with international standards and brand-specific requirements, along with ERP system experience, is highly valuable. Key competencies include superior negotiation skills, vendor management, meticulous attention to detail, coordination abilities, and managing complex approval processes for premium materials.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on luxury hotel projects in Saudi Arabia, especially those aligned with standards such as PIF, Red Sea, or Diriyah developments, is an advantage. Proven track record in meeting deadlines for material approvals, ensuring quality compliance, controlling cost variances, and maintaining excellent supplier performance ratings will distinguish candidates.
