Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a Senior QA/QC Procurement Engineer with a mechanical engineering background to join a leading Oil & Gas project based in Qatar. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in quality assurance and quality control within procurement, particularly in the mechanical domain.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee QA/QC processes related to procurement activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. This includes reviewing purchase orders, inspection and test plans (ITPs), material review board (MRB) dossiers, and verifying material certificates and test reports. You will conduct vendor inspections, lead audits, and manage quality deviations effectively. Coordination with vendors, third-party inspectors, and manufacturers is crucial for ensuring all mechanical equipment, piping materials, and welding meet required standards.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in QA/QC procurement procedures and vendor inspections within Oil & Gas sectors
• Hands-on experience with PIM systems and conducting thorough vendor audits
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical equipment, piping components, and welding standards
• Ability to interpret project specifications, datasheets, and QatarEnergy standards
• Excellent coordination and communication skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders

Requirements

• 12 to 15 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Proven background working on major Oil & Gas projects
