Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Procurement and Logistics Officer to join a reputable elevator company based in Qatar. This role requires an individual with comprehensive experience in supply chain management, procurement processes, and logistics coordination, ideally within the elevator, construction, or engineering sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing the entire logistics cycle to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
The Procurement and Logistics Officer will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, obtaining and comparing quotations, negotiating prices, and issuing purchase orders. Managing procurement activities specifically for elevator materials, spare parts, and equipment will be a priority. Additionally, the officer will coordinate shipments including international freight forwarding, customs clearance, and delivery follow-up to guarantee materials arrive on schedule.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of successful procurement and logistics experience
- Familiarity with the elevator or related construction and engineering industries is highly preferred
- Proficient in supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, price negotiation, and purchase order management
- Strong understanding of international shipping procedures, freight forwarding, customs documentation, and delivery coordination
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
