Job Overview

A reputable organization in Qatar is actively seeking a skilled Buyer / Expeditor with solid experience in procurement and supply chain coordination. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in purchasing within the oil and gas or petrochemical sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities including purchase order preparation, vendor communication, and shipment tracking. They will handle requests for quotations, tender processes, and negotiate bids to ensure cost-effective purchasing. Following up on delivery schedules and maintaining accurate contract and invoice documentation are also essential duties.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, and expediting roles
• Proficient in purchase order preparation and administration
• Experience with RFQ, tender, and price enquiry processes
• Strong vendor and supplier relationship management
• Ability to evaluate bids and conduct negotiations effectively
• Good knowledge of delivery and shipment follow-up
• Familiarity with SAP or ERP systems; knowledge of SAP Ariba is an advantage
• Competent in invoice processing, GRN handling, and contract documentation
• Excellent reporting and documentation skills

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.

Industry Preference

Experience in oil and gas or petrochemical industries is preferred, though not mandatory.
