Job Overview

Swan Global is urgently seeking 15 experienced Insulators to join a major project at Ras Laffan (QE LNG South), Qatar. This is a contract position lasting three months with a demanding 10-hour shift excluding lunch breaks. Successful candidates will benefit from provided accommodation, meals, and transportation to ensure a comfortable working experience.

Key Responsibilities

The main duties include installing, maintaining, and removing insulation materials on oil and gas facilities, specifically for cryogenic and process piping rather than building HVAC systems. Properly reading isometric and piping drawings, as well as insulation specifications, is essential. Candidates will also handle sheet metal cladding by cutting and fitting aluminum or stainless steel jacketing. Working safely at height and on scaffolding is a key component of this role, often involving the removal and reinstalling of insulation for inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT).

Required Skills

• Proven experience in insulation within oil and gas, petrochemical, or LNG plants
• Expertise with cryogenic and process piping insulation techniques
• Knowledge of insulation materials such as mineral wool, calcium silicate, perlite, and foam glass
• Skilled in handling sheet metal cladding and jacketing (aluminum/SS)
• Ability to interpret piping isometric drawings and insulation specifications
• Experience in removing and reinstalling insulation for inspection or testing purposes
• Comfortable working at height and on scaffolding platforms
• Valid safety training certifications including working-at-height and confined space where applicable

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid Qatar ID or possess a transferable visa or NOC issued by their current employer. A company-arranged gate pass for access through Gate 42 and Gate 46 will be provided.
