Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician specialized in mechanical utilities plants and product handling to join a leading organization in Qatar. This is a long-term opportunity offering a competitive salary along with accommodation and transportation benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and troubleshooting of rotating and static equipment within process industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, or fertilizers.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Technician will work independently to perform various aspects of mechanical maintenance, including installation, removal, inspection, and repair of equipment. Key duties include:

• Carrying out installation, removal, reinstallation, inspection, and routine maintenance activities with minimal supervision.
• Ensuring all maintenance work meets quality standards by identifying faults and implementing corrective actions promptly.
• Reading and interpreting isometric and mechanical drawings, equipment datasheets, and other technical documents accurately.
• Cleaning, preserving, and maintaining dismantled equipment components to ensure longevity and performance.

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 6 years hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within oil & gas, petrochemical, or fertilizer sectors.
• Strong expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining both rotating and static equipment in continuous process plants.
• Practical knowledge working with pumps, blowers, compressors, fans, turbines, valves, vessels, columns, heat exchangers, piping systems, and related static mechanical equipment.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and maintenance recordkeeping. Familiarity with SAP EAM Work Order module is a plus.
• High commitment to health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards, with a proven track record of maintaining a safe working environment.
