Job Overview

Trags Qatar is seeking a skilled General Technician with PCN certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to join their team for long-term oil and gas projects. This role involves supporting fabrication works at the NOC, focusing on FOPS and E&C projects with expertise in ultrasonic testing and other NDT methods.

Key Responsibilities

The technician will be responsible for conducting various NDT inspections to ensure the integrity and quality of materials and components used in oil and gas fabrication. This includes applying ultrasonic testing techniques on plates, pipes, T-joints, nozzles, and nodes according to industry standards and project specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification of 12th grade or higher secondary schooling
• PCN Level 2 or 2D certification in Non-Destructive Testing
• Proficiency in NDT methods 21, 22, and 24
• Experienced with ultrasonic testing (UT) for Group 3.1 and 3.2 (plate and pipe)
• Skilled in UT Groups 3.7, 3.8, and 3.9 for T-joints, nozzles, and nodes
• Hands-on experience in NDT and fabrication projects within the oil and gas industry
• Knowledgeable about applicable inspection standards, procedures, and quality requirements
