Job Overview

Nair Systems is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join their team in Qatar. This role focuses on developing and optimizing advanced predictive models and machine learning algorithms to drive business insights and decision-making. The position requires working independently on data processing, feature engineering, and managing model deployment pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Design, build, and enhance predictive models using structured and semi-structured data sources.
• Perform comprehensive data pre-processing and feature engineering tasks.
• Develop and maintain automated model pipelines for training, validation, scoring, and continuous monitoring.
• Implement mechanisms to detect model drift and apply retraining strategies to ensure consistent performance.
• Provide code-based model explainability using tools like SHAP and LIME, supporting documentation for governance reviews.

Required Skills and Experience

• Advanced expertise in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, and LightGBM.
• Strong proficiency in SQL with experience managing large datasets via data warehouses or lakes.
• Hands-on experience deploying machine learning models using tools like MLflow, Airflow, and Docker.
• Knowledge of key model performance metrics including ROC AUC, F1 score, lift, and gain.
• Experience training and evaluating models for binary classification, multi-class classification, regression, and time series forecasting.
• Exposure to deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow for specialized use cases.
• Familiarity with embeddings, vector stores, and text-based model implementations.
• Expertise in version control using Git and establishing reproducible ML workflows.
