Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer with proven expertise in ship repair projects, managing vessels between 70 and 180 meters. This opportunity is based in Qatar on a 6-month contract, focusing on overseeing and delivering ship repair assignments independently and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising ship repair operations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget. This includes hands-on management of mechanical propulsion systems such as CPP shafts, bow thrusters, azimuth thrusters, main engines, and gearboxes. Close collaboration with shipyards during dry-docking and repair phases is essential. The role requires swift technical problem solving, involving subject matter experts when necessary, while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience working with mechanical propulsion systems on commercial and naval vessels.
• Strong understanding of dry-docking processes and shipyard operations.
• Proven ability to manage projects effectively, controlling timelines and budgets.
• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
