Job Overview

SGS Qatar is urgently seeking a skilled QC Mechanical Inspector for a one-year contract to support its operations in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in quality control within the solar plant, photovoltaic (PV) plant, or power plant construction sectors, including substation works. Immediate joiners are preferred to meet project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

The QC Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards during mechanical inspections. This includes conducting thorough site inspections, verifying construction quality, and ensuring that all mechanical activities adhere to applicable codes and standards. The role demands a proactive approach towards identifying non-conformities and collaborating with the project team to resolve issues effectively.

Required Skills and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• ISO 9001 Auditor Certification is highly preferred.
• 6 to 8 years of direct experience in quality control within PV plant, solar plant, power plant construction, or substation projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical inspection standards and procedures in the energy sector.
