Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled QAQC Inspector specializing in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) to join our team on a freelance basis. This position plays a vital role in ensuring all project deliverables meet stringent quality standards and comply with the relevant industry regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the quality and safety standards on-site in Ras Laffan, Qatar, for an initial contract of three months with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and quality assurance checks on electrical and instrumentation installations.
• Verify compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and industry standards.
• Document non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions to resolution.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure seamless quality control and timely reporting.
• Utilize relevant QAQC software and tools to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Support the continuous improvement of quality management processes on-site.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Middle East oil and gas sector, specifically in QAQC roles related to electrical and instrumentation.
• Strong understanding of regional and international industry standards and regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in quality inspection software and relevant tools.
• Ability to work independently as a freelancer, managing responsibilities efficiently.
• Applicants must currently reside in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID, ready for immediate joining.

Work Environment and Project Details

This position is based in Ras Laffan, Qatar, a key hub for oil and gas operations. You will be working on site, ensuring all electrical and instrumentation work adheres to quality standards throughout the project duration. The initial contract is set for three months with the possibility of extension depending on project needs.
