Job Overview

Elegancia Steel is seeking a skilled QA/QC Engineer and Coating Inspector to join their team in Qatar. This role demands an experienced professional with expertise in painting and coating inspections within structural steel fabrication. Local candidates with immediate availability are highly preferred for this position.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities related to protective coatings and painting processes. This includes inspecting and verifying the compliance of blasting, painting, and coating systems according to established standards. Maintaining thorough documentation such as inspection reports, quality records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) is critical. The role also requires effective coordination with clients, consultants, and production teams to ensure quality standards are consistently met.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Hold BGAS Level 2 or NACE Level 2 certification (mandatory).
• At least 5 years of practical experience in painting, coating inspections, and QA/QC activities in the steel fabrication industry.
• Solid knowledge of international standards including ISO, SSPC, ASTM, and NACE.
• Experienced in managing inspection documentation and maintaining quality assurance records.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse project stakeholders.
