Job Overview

Emkan Engineering is seeking a skilled Painting Superintendent with extensive experience in industrial painting and coating to join our oil and gas project team in Qatar. This role requires a seasoned professional who can lead painting operations, ensure quality standards, and effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

The Painting Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of surface preparation, blasting, painting, and protective coating systems on site. This includes managing manpower, planning project activities, ensuring compliance with quality documentation such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements, and liaising with project engineers, quality control inspectors, clients, and subcontractors to guarantee effective project execution.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate must possess a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of practical experience in industrial painting and coating. A thorough understanding of surface preparation techniques and coating application processes is essential. Strong leadership and coordination skills are a must, along with the ability to manage teams efficiently and maintain high standards of quality on site.

Preferred Certifications

Professional certifications such as BGAS, NACE, AMPP, or FROSIO are highly advantageous and will enhance the applicant’s qualifications.
