Leelaak is seeking a skilled Project Engineer specializing in Mechanical Engineering for a permanent role based in Doha, Qatar. This position calls for a qualified professional to oversee manpower management across multiple fabrication projects and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and managing manpower resources for current and upcoming projects. Coordination with HR and recruitment teams to source and mobilize workforce effectively will be essential. Maintaining manpower schedules and reports, monitoring productivity and attendance, and addressing any performance concerns are key aspects of this role. The engineer will also liaise with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure smooth operations while strictly adhering to labor laws, safety standards, and company policies. Additionally, involvement in budgeting and forecasting manpower costs, tracking utilization, and recommending operational improvements will be expected. Frequent site visits to supervise deployment and performance, alongside preparing detailed reports and presentations, form an integral part of the job.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and possess 6 to 8 years of experience in manpower or resource management, particularly within fabrication environments. A strong grasp of workforce planning, project scheduling, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, and SAP is highly desirable. The role demands multitasking capabilities and the ability to manage teams across various sites efficiently.
