We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Advisor to join major infrastructure projects in Qatar. This role demands extensive expertise in commercial and contract management, particularly with FIDIC contracts and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will bring 15 to 20 years of experience managing claims, variations, extensions of time (EOTs), and dispute resolution while supporting high-value construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
The Contracts Advisor will be responsible for overseeing contract administration throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and managing procurement contracts efficiently. You will handle claims and contract variations, negotiate extensions of time, and play a pivotal role in resolving any disputes that arise. Coordination with diverse project teams and stakeholders will be essential to support project delivery within contractual frameworks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 15 to 20+ years of proven experience in commercial and contract management
- In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions and procurement best practices
- Proficiency in handling claims, contract variations, EOTs, and dispute resolution
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Law
- Experience working on projects within the GCC region, preferably Qatar
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory for effective communication across teams
