Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Supervisor to lead maintenance operations for offshore electrical systems in the oil and gas sector. This full-time position, based in Qatar, requires an experienced professional with a strong background in electrical maintenance and team supervision in challenging offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all electrical maintenance activities on offshore platforms. This includes ensuring the safe operation and upkeep of power transformers and switchgears up to 33kV, implementing strict switching and Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and managing troubleshooting efforts during preventive maintenance and scheduled shutdowns. The role demands close adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines to maintain operational integrity.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 10 years of maintenance experience, with a minimum of 5 years serving as an Electrical Supervisor or Engineer within oil, gas, or petrochemical plants.
• Proficient in handling power distribution transformers and switchgears up to 33kV.
• Experienced in safely applying switching and LOTO procedures at voltage levels up to 6.6kV.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities paired with effective team leadership and maintenance coordination skills.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Higher Secondary School certificate along with a 3 to 5-year Diploma, Higher National Certificate (HNC), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Work Environment

This role involves working in offshore facilities within Qatar’s oil and gas industry, where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount. The supervisor will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimum electrical system performance and compliance with all operational standards.
