Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled BIM Engineer for a one-year contract position based in Qatar, with the possibility of extension. This role involves managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across architectural, structural, and MEP projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination, ensuring seamless collaboration among project teams.

Key Responsibilities

The BIM Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing BIM models throughout various phases of building projects. Duties include preparing and reviewing 3D models, shop drawings, and construction documents to maintain accuracy and compliance.

• Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP models to ensure integration and consistency.
• Perform clash detection using appropriate software and resolve conflicts in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Adhere to BIM standards and execution plans to guarantee project compliance.
• Support quantity take-offs, update models regularly, and assist in construction coordination activities.
• Maintain proper BIM documentation and manage version control systems.
• Work closely with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and on-site teams to streamline workflow and communication.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil, Architectural, or MEP Engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in BIM engineering or coordination roles.
• Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD for effective BIM model creation and review.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary BIM coordination and clash detection techniques.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows, industry standards, and reading construction drawings.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with diverse project stakeholders.
