Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Translator to join our team in Doha, Qatar, specializing in the education and cultural sectors. This full-time position is offered on a 2.5-year contract basis through an outsourcing arrangement. The successful candidate will work primarily on translating museum and art-related content, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate communication between English and Modern Standard Arabic.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves translating various exhibition and art materials from English to Modern Standard Arabic and vice versa. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and authenticity of the source material, facilitating effective communication across languages in the education and museum environment. Additionally, the position requires proficient use of standard office software to manage translation projects and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Arabic, Translation, or a related field.
• Between 4 to 6 years of proven translation experience in museum or art-based projects.
• Strong command of MS Word, Excel, and project management tools.
• Fluency in English and Modern Standard Arabic, with the ability to produce high-quality, precise translations.
