Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Service Coordinator specialized in Instrumentation and Automation for a one-year contract role based in Qatar, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will oversee coordination of service work on-site, ensuring alignment with company and customer standards, policies, and procedures. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers throughout service job execution, fostering strong relationships and smooth communication.

Key Responsibilities

The Service Coordinator will be accountable for managing several critical aspects of service operations, including:

• Ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines such as proper use of personal protective equipment, relevant training, site mobilization, and monthly HSE reporting
• Delivering superior customer service by maintaining a customer-focused approach and ensuring service excellence
• Allocating resources efficiently by coordinating schedules and assignments for Field Service Engineers (FSEs)
• Maintaining and updating the competency and certification database for service personnel
• Tracking service contract utilization and implementing corrective measures as needed to optimize performance and compliance
• Coordinating the invoice process and completing service entries to support accurate billing and financial documentation

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background paired with proven service coordination experience, including:

• A degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation Engineering
• Between 6 to 8 years of experience in service management or coordination roles
• Hands-on knowledge of automation systems, specifically control systems, PLC, DCS, and SCADA
• Preferably, experience in the Oil & Gas, Power, or Water sectors
• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially SAP for tasks such as order handling, purchase request and purchase order creation, service entry management, and invoicing processes
