Job Overview

A leading company in Qatar is urgently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive expertise in civil, infrastructure, and MEP/MEICA projects for immediate onboarding. This opportunity is best suited for candidates with a proven track record working within the Qatar construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires preparing accurate cost estimates, conducting quantity take-offs, and developing project budgets across civil, infrastructure, and MEP/MEICA works. You will be tasked with reviewing tender documentation, drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and contract scopes to ensure precision. Evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations to assess cost risks forms a critical part of the position. You will also assist in managing variations, claims, tender submissions, commercial proposals, and cost monitoring. Collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Planning, and Commercial teams is essential. Additionally, you will track scope changes and evaluate their financial impact to ensure effective project management.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management. Candidates should possess 8 to 15 years of experience in quantity surveying, estimation, or commercial project roles. Experience related to infrastructure projects, wastewater treatment plants, sewage treatment plants (STP), and MEP/MEICA construction is highly valued. Prior experience working in Qatar is advantageous. Solid skills in cost estimation, BOQ analysis, interpretation of drawings and specifications, contract handling, and project scope management are critical for success.

Work Details

This is a full-time role based in Qatar, requiring 10-hour shifts, six days a week. The initial contract period is three months, with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements. Immediate availability is essential.
