Job Overview

We are currently seeking experienced and qualified construction professionals to join a significant construction project in Qatar. This long-term contract, extending over five years, requires skilled personnel familiar with construction site protocols and committed to working safely and efficiently as part of a collaborative team environment.

Available Positions and Responsibilities

The project offers a variety of roles across construction trades, each requiring specific skills and qualifications:

• Bar Bender / Steel Fixer: Cut, bend, and install reinforcement steel according to specifications. Ensure proper alignment and spacing, assist with inspections before concrete pouring, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Carpenter: Build and put together formwork, shutters, and temporary structures. Accurately measure and assemble materials, ensure proper leveling and secure installations, and safely dismantle formwork once concrete has cured.
• Waterproofing Worker: Prepare surfaces and apply waterproof membranes, coatings, and sealants. Address leakages and defects to ensure structural water resistance, working on roofs, basements, and foundations.
• Concreter: Prepare and finish concrete placements, operate vibrators, and perform curing tasks while following quality and safety procedures.
• Mechanic: Maintain, diagnose, and repair construction equipment and vehicles. Conduct preventive maintenance and keep detailed service records.
• Tongman: Assist in handling pipes, tools, and equipment during rigging and lifting operations, supporting operators and ensuring safe procedures.
• Electric Welder: Perform ARC/SMAW welding, prepare joints, inspect welds, and maintain welding equipment safely.
• Plasterer: Prepare and apply plaster on walls and ceilings, ensuring smooth and even surfaces. Repair cracks and damaged areas.
• Excavation Worker: Support excavation and trenching activities, maintain safe work areas, and assist equipment operators and supervisors.
• Signalman: Manage safe crane and heavy vehicle operations through clear signalling and communication, establishing safe zones for lifting tasks.
• Formwork Fixer: Assemble, install, and dismantle formwork systems following project drawings and specifications, checking accuracy and stability.
• Maintenance Worker: Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on site infrastructure, buildings, and equipment, assisting skilled technicians where needed.
• Loading & Unloading Worker: Safely load, unload, and secure construction materials and equipment using proper handling techniques.
• Loader Driver / Wheel Loader Operator: Operate heavy loader machinery for moving soil and materials. Perform equipment inspections and maintain safety standards. Valid operator’s license required.
• Excavator Operator: Operate excavators for excavation and grading following site plans and safety guidelines. Conduct equipment checks and report any issues promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must have relevant hands-on experience within their trade and demonstrate a sound understanding of construction practices and safety regulations. Ability to read basic drawings is advantageous for certain roles. Licenses or certifications for operating heavy machinery like loaders or excavators are mandatory where applicable. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential for working effectively on site.

Work Environment

This project will take place on active construction sites in Qatar, requiring workers to perform duties under typical outdoor conditions. Safety compliance and adherence to site protocols are critical to ensure a productive and secure workplace.
