Job Overview

Laffan Technical Service is seeking a skilled QC Coordinator to join their esteemed team working on a major oil and gas project in Qatar. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in quality control within civil, structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems. The position offers a dynamic work environment with long-term prospects and requires immediate availability or a short notice period.

Key Responsibilities

As a QC Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality standards on site. Your primary responsibilities include assisting sub-contractors with quality management, reviewing and validating QCP (Quality Control Plans) and ITP (Inspection Test Plans) across all disciplines, and ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies alongside quality procedures. You will also be responsible for managing non-conformance reports and addressing any deficiencies promptly. Conducting regular inspections and quality audits, as well as compiling comprehensive quality data and documentation, are essential parts of the role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Solid expertise in civil, structural, piping, plateworks, mechanical, and electrical installations.
• Hands-on experience with fire protection and detection systems.
• At least 8 years of quality control experience within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and quality assurance methodologies.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and strict deadlines.
• Immediate joiners or candidates who can join on short notice are preferred.

Work Environment and Schedule

The position is based in the Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC) area in Qatar. The role demands commitment to a 10-hour workday, six days a week, supporting a project initially scheduled for five months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.
