Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled QA/QC Engineer specializing in civil engineering to join our project team in Al Khor, Qatar. This role involves overseeing the quality control processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards over a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The position requires a dedicated professional who can guarantee project quality plans and procedures are effectively implemented on site.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves performing thorough inspections of installations as directed by construction supervisors and ensuring all phases of quality control comply with defined specifications. The QA/QC Engineer will develop and maintain inspection procedures for the pre-commissioning and commissioning stages, continuously calibrate inspection instruments, and maintain accurate records of all inspections and tests conducted.

Additionally, the engineer will report daily inspection activities, issue non-conformance reports when necessary, and coordinate closely with the main contractor’s coordinator and consultants to ensure seamless site inspections. Surveillance of inspection tests and adherence to approved Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) are key functions, along with implementation and maintenance of Quality and HSE management systems compliant with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 8 years of relevant QA/QC experience within civil construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality control practices, site inspections, and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, and quality procedures.
• Experience working with ISO management systems standards.
• Understanding of PWA PDLM, CTS, APMS, project questionnaires, KPIs, and monthly reporting.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.

Qualifications and Documents
