Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager with extensive expertise in EPIC and brownfield projects within the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have over two decades of industry experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing complex construction activities in large-scale upgrade projects.

Key Responsibilities

The Construction Manager will oversee the execution of multiple construction disciplines, ensuring seamless integration of operations, maintenance, and shutdown activities. Responsibilities include managing teams and subcontractors, coordinating construction sequencing, and maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards according to QatarEnergy protocols.

Specific scope of work includes supervision of:

• Gas Lift Compressor units (turbine-driven) with auxiliaries
• Fire water and potable water systems
• Nitrogen and instrument air systems
• Static equipment such as knock-out drums, vessels, and TEG contactors
• Substation and electrical infrastructure including 33kV networks, emergency diesel generators, MCCs, and lighting
• Building services encompassing overhead cranes and HVAC systems

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of experience in the oil and gas construction industry
• At least 15 years of experience in EPIC project execution
• 5+ years in a managerial role, preferably overseeing large brownfield upgrade projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors effectively
• Expertise in construction sequencing, simultaneous operations (SIMOPS), and shutdown integration
• Familiarity with QatarEnergy standards along with QA/QC systems and documentation management
