Job Overview

Join a leading Oil & Gas project in Qatar as a Construction Supervisor specializing in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I). This long-term contract offers a competitive daily rate alongside monthly allowances. The role places you at the forefront of onshore construction activities, overseeing Greenfield and Brownfield projects including tie-ins to live facilities.

Key Responsibilities

As the Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the installation and testing of electrical and instrumentation systems. Your duties include supervising substations, control rooms, and cathodic protection setups, as well as ensuring smooth execution of stage inspections and compliance with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs). You will coordinate subcontractor activities, enforce safe Permit to Work (PTW), isolation, and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures while supporting SAT testing for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 12–15 years of hands-on experience in E&I construction within the onshore Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of track record managing Greenfield and Brownfield/live plant sites.
• Expertise in executing tie-in activities to live facilities ensuring operational continuity.
• Proficient in Permit to Work, Isolation, and Lockout-Tagout safety procedures.
• Experience with substations, control rooms, cathodic protection installation, and testing.
• Familiarity with stage inspection, testing protocols, and SAT testing processes for electrical and control systems.
• Preferred knowledge of high voltage (HV) electrical systems.
• Over 10 years in EPIC contractor roles at Supervisor or Superintendent level.
• Experience working as Client or PMC Superintendent or Senior Supervisor preferred.
• Industrial experience within Qatar or the broader GCC region is an advantage.
• Well-versed in industry standards including QCS, ACI, AISC, BS/EN/ISO/ASTM, and Shell DEP requirements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
