We are seeking a skilled Imports Manager to join a leading FMCG distribution company based in Doha, Qatar. This permanent position involves managing the entire import process, ensuring smooth coordination between suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to facilitate timely deliveries and compliance with customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
The Imports Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full import cycle, starting from purchase order management through to final delivery. Key duties include coordinating with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure shipments comply with regulations. The role requires supervising customs clearance procedures and verifying all import documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and permits. Monitoring shipment schedules and addressing any logistics delays is essential to maintain supply continuity. Additionally, the manager will control import costs by negotiating competitive freight rates and tracking import expenditures closely.
