Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist based in Oman to manage and optimize our purchasing operations. This role is exclusive to Omani nationals and is ideal for candidates with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in procurement and vendor management. The successful candidate will oversee the entire procurement cycle, from supplier sourcing and negotiation to ensuring timely delivery and maintaining accurate purchase records.

Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for driving efficient procurement activities, including vendor evaluation, purchase order creation, and follow-up to ensure prompt delivery. You will manage petty cash with thorough documentation and coordinate closely with accounts and other departments. Monitoring stock levels and forecasting purchasing needs to maintain smooth operational flow will also be an essential part of your duties.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proven experience of 2 to 5 years in procurement or purchasing roles
• Strong vendor management skills, including supplier evaluation and negotiation
• Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end procurement process
• Ability to maintain purchase orders and meticulous record keeping
• Experience handling petty cash with proper documentation protocols
• Effective coordination with accounting and other departments
• Stock level monitoring and assessment of purchasing requirements
• Proficiency in Odoo and Tally for procurement and financial tracking
