Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Mechanic Technician to join a reputable Abu Dhabi Government entity based in Oman. This role offers a renewable contract with a competitive salary of 500 OMR. Candidates from all nationalities are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist in both routine and emergency maintenance tasks, focusing primarily on beam pumping units. Responsibilities include supporting rig-up and rig-down activities, preparing job sites, inspecting and servicing equipment, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality protocols. Accurate record-keeping for driving and equipment is also essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of hands-on experience with beam pumping units
• Proficient in maintenance, inspection, repair, and lubrication of mechanical systems
• Solid understanding of gearboxes and related mechanical components
• High school or secondary education completed
• Valid driving license (mandatory)
• Ability and willingness to work on-call and in confined spaces

Specialized Experience

This position specifically requires expertise with beam pumps and rotor flex systems. General mechanical experience without this specialization will not be considered suitable.
