Danway Saudi Arabia Contracting Company is seeking a seasoned Electrical Site Manager to lead high-voltage substation construction and commissioning projects throughout Saudi Arabia. This position is based in Madinah and requires a candidate with extensive experience in managing and delivering SEC-approved substation projects.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Site Manager will oversee all aspects of SEC high-voltage substation projects (GIS and AIS systems at 380kV, 132kV, and 33kV levels), from initial mobilization to testing, pre-commissioning, energization, and final handover. Responsibilities include managing electrical engineers, testing and commissioning teams, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations and compliance with quality and safety standards.

The role requires direct supervision of GIS erection, installation of transformers and reactors, HV/MV cabling, busbar assemblies, earthing and lightning protection, control and relay panels, protection schemes, and SAS/telecommunication systems integration. Efficient resource management, progress monitoring, schedule planning including three-week look-ahead reports, and material tracking fall under this manager’s scope.

Coordination with civil, MEP, and testing teams is essential to prevent clashes and ensure a streamlined workflow. Enforcing strict HSE protocols, conducting toolbox talks, managing work permits, and overseeing risk assessments and incident reporting will be critical. The manager will also handle SEC inspector walkthroughs, material inspections, FAT/SAT witness testing, punch list resolution, and ensure all documentation for final acceptance is complete.

Participation in regular progress meetings, subcontractor coordination, invoice reviews, risk and constructability assessments, and value engineering workshops is expected to maintain project timelines and budgets.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10-15 years of hands-on experience in construction management, including at least five years focused on high-voltage substation construction (preferably 380kV, 132kV, 110kV).
• Demonstrated success managing site activities, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary technical teams on complex substation projects.
• Exceptional leadership with strong stakeholder coordination involving SEC representatives, consultants, and subcontractors.
• In-depth knowledge of safety procedures, quality control standards, and project documentation specific to high-voltage substation environments.
• Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
