Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to become a valuable member of our finance team in Mecca. This role is ideal for individuals who have a background in accounting and are eager to grow their expertise in a dynamic working environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Accountant will manage various accounting functions, including the recording of daily financial transactions and the preparation of sales and purchase invoices. Responsibilities also encompass processing payments to suppliers, receiving customer payments, and performing regular reconciliations of bank statements and ledger accounts. The successful candidate will handle accounts payable and receivable, support payroll processing, prepare VAT documentation, and assist with the organization of financial reports.

Additionally, maintaining accurate filing systems for accounting records and supporting documents is vital. The Assistant Accountant will collaborate closely with the Accounts Manager during month-end and year-end closing procedures and carry out other related accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. While candidates with 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience are preferred, fresh graduates interested in developing their accounting career are also encouraged to apply.

Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software, ERP systems, or Tally is essential. A fundamental understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is required, along with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational capabilities, and effective communication skills in English.
