Job Overview

Join Al-Kharafi Construction Company, a leader in Kuwait’s infrastructure development, as a Procurement and Logistics Supervisor focused on import operations. This full-time, on-site role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional eager to manage the entire procurement process, from technical purchase request review to delivery coordination.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will take charge of end-to-end external procurement activities including:

• Evaluating and processing technical purchase requests
• Conducting supplier negotiations and managing request for quotations (RFQs)
• Issuing purchase orders and overseeing shipping logistics
• Handling customs clearance and compliance with Kuwait regulations
• Coordinating final delivery to warehouses to ensure timely receipt of materials

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related discipline
• 7 to 10 years of practical experience managing international procurement and logistics, preferably within the construction or contracting industry
• In-depth knowledge of import procurement processes including RFQ, negotiation, purchase order, shipping, clearance, and delivery
• Proficiency with Documentary Credits (Letters of Credit), Incoterms, and international trade finance principles
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or their equivalents
• Strong familiarity with Kuwait’s customs regulations and clearance procedures
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and coordination abilities
• Fluent English communication skills; Arabic proficiency is considered a plus
