Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer with a background in process engineering, water, wastewater, and MEP systems to join our team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will manage the procurement process for critical equipment such as pumps, valves, piping, tanks, chemical dosing systems, and integrated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing packages. This role involves liaising closely with engineers and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of project materials.

Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Engineer will oversee the full procurement cycle, which includes issuing requests for quotations, clarifying technical requirements, and preparing commercial comparisons according to approved specifications. They will coordinate technical evaluations led by engineering teams, assist in supplier negotiations, and support order placements under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager. The role also requires expediting supplier deliverables such as drawings, manufacturing progress, inspections, and final deliveries while keeping accurate procurement documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in procurement of equipment and materials specifically for water, wastewater, process engineering, or MEP projects.
• Strong ability to interpret equipment datasheets, material schedules, and process diagrams.
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and effective communication with English-speaking suppliers.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering procurement, including at least 3 years focused on water/process equipment or MEP packages.
• Hands-on experience procuring pumps, valves, piping, and treatment equipment is essential.
