Job Purpose:

To install, commission, and support 5G home broadband and WiFi solutions at customer premises while assessing the home connectivity environment and recommending the most suitable setup to maximize service quality and customer satisfaction.

The role combines hands-on technical installation with customer consultation, enabling the technician to identify improvement opportunities, optimize in-home coverage, and support additional product or service recommendations based on actual customer needs.

The technician will also explain standard installation scope to customers and coordinate any additional materials or cabling required beyond the basic service package.

Responsibilities: Install indoor and outdoor SG routers at customer premises.

Install and commission WiFi devices such as access points, mesh systems, repeaters, and similar equipment.

Perform basic cable work when required, evaluate WiFi coverage and signal quality, recommend the most suitable home connectivity solution, advise on router placement or upgrades, and explain any additional chargeable materials beyond the standard installation kit.

Qualifications:

Diploma or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Experience in field installation, customer premises equipment setup, or home broadband / WiFi support is preferred.

Basic understanding of structured cabling, wireless coverage principles, and customer service practices is an advantage.

Skills Requirements:

Strong technical troubleshooting and installation skills for routers, WiFi devices, and related connectivity equipment.

Ability to assess in-home coverage, identify connectivity issues, and recommend practical solutions such as mesh systems, additional access points, or improved router placement.

Good communication and customer consultation skills, with the ability to explain technical recommendations clearly and professionally.

Ability to handle basic installation materials and document any additional customer-required items beyond the standard service scope.
