Job Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer specializing in commercial kitchen equipment for a key project based in Bahrain. This role focuses on managing comprehensive project execution from initial design through installation and commissioning within the food service sector. The position offers a competitive total package between BD 1500-2000, inclusive of benefits such as yearly airfare, family status allowance, a company vehicle, and a communication allowance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the entire lifecycle of commercial kitchen equipment projects, ensuring seamless coordination between various stakeholders. This involves preparing and reviewing technical drawings, layouts, and detailed equipment bill of quantities (BOQs). Collaborating closely with architects, consultants, and clients, the engineer will finalize design specifications and technical requirements. Effective coordination with suppliers and contractors is essential to guarantee timely procurement and smooth installations.

Ensuring compliance with health, fire, and safety regulations across project sites is critical. Routine site inspections, managing snag lists, and overseeing handover documentation are integral to the role. Providing technical expertise during tendering and procurement phases as well as mentoring junior engineering staff will also be expected.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• At least 10 years of direct experience managing commercial kitchen equipment projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for preparing technical drawings and layouts.
• Extensive knowledge covering sales, after-sales service, maintenance, installation, commissioning, and project handover.
• Strong project management capabilities including site supervision and budget control.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to coordinate effectively among consultants, clients, and suppliers.
• Prior experience working in the GCC region is required.
• Familiarity with internationally recognized kitchen equipment brands such as Hobart, Rational, and Electrolux.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is an advantage.
• Experience in hospitality, food and beverage chains, hospitals, or central kitchen projects is highly desirable.
