Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fire-Fighting and Plumbing Design Engineer based in Kuwait to join our dynamic engineering team. This role focuses on designing essential fire protection and plumbing systems that ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in hydraulic calculations, coordinated drawings, and managing project approvals.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include designing fire-fighting systems, domestic water supply, drainage, and pump systems tailored for various projects. You will be responsible for preparing hydraulic calculations, selecting appropriate equipment, and creating detailed schematics alongside coordinated shop drawings. This role also involves preparing technical submissions, purchase specifications, and performing technical evaluations to maintain high-quality standards.

Coordination with authorities for necessary submissions and integrating fire alarm interfaces into system designs is crucial. You will review supplier documentation through the Supply Chain department and provide vital support during testing phases and preparation of as-built documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of fire-water hydraulics, including sprinkler and hydrant system design, fire pumps, plumbing, and drainage systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software is essential.
• Familiarity with NFPA standards and requirements.
• Experience with Revit MEP and understanding of Kuwait’s approval processes is preferred.
• Excellent command of technical English for clear and effective communication.

Experience Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of six years of relevant experience in fire-fighting and plumbing design or technical office roles. Proven experience in hydraulic calculations, preparing coordinated drawings, handling approval processes, and providing on-site support is mandatory.
